He was a metal worker by trade, and at the age of 78 he died December 29, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is buried at St Joseph Cemetery in Ross Township, Pennsylvania

Joseph Haefele
March 12 1888 - August 20 1935
Joseph was born March 12, 1888 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Joe never married. He enlisted into the Army April 27, 1918 and was discharged June 9, 1919. He served as a Private in Co. B in the 305th ammunition train which was part of the 80th division commanded by MG Adelbert Cronkhite started at Camp Lee in Virginia and returned to this country in June 1919.
We will never know what affect this had on a very young Joe, he died August 20, 1935 at O’Hara, Pennsylvania and is buried with the rest of the Haefele Family at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ross Township, Pennsylvania
